LoveTheModa was lucky enough to attend Dubai's Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 and we have to admit, we were very impressed! Not only did we marvel over the shows, but we actually got to go backstage and see the collections up close! Below we are sharing our lovely experience and photos with you readers, enjoy and tell us what you think :)
We were in awe by the German-Arab designer Mona Fares as she started off Dubai Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 with NEON EDGE and unveiled her first collection “Electri-city".
The bright colors were mixed together with contrasting accessories such as leggings, handbags, clutches, shoes, scarves and cuffs. Electri-city was inspired by the city that Mona Fares grew up in, Dubai. Thumbs up to Mona for unveiling such an amazing collection and a very entertaining show!

This designer's collection reminded us a bit of the late Alexander McQueen's! He definitely made his mark and stood out at Dubai's Fashion week. He has extremely talented and has beautiful ideas which he brought to life! Who is he? Furne One .
Dubai Fashion Week ended with a jaw-dropping show, Amato Haute Couture by Furne One. "Amato" ,which means beloved, consisted of creations in varying intensities of gold and ivory, heavily embellished with Swarovski crystals. Incorporating nudes and golds in a vast array of materials from crystal and silk to wood and lace, this exuberant new talent provided audiences with a surreal yet serene catwalk show.
Furne One has carved out a name for himself in the high-end fashion industry because this is the most decadent collection we've seen in a long time! We are picturing these pieces on the red carpet and on the cover of fashion magazines. as for the elaborate shoulder detailing and head pieces? We’re assuming Lady Gaga has already added him onto her speed dial! LoveTheModa could gush all day about how impressive we thought this collection was, but we think the pictures below speak for themselves.
